A college has a school email associated with it. For example, @umass.edu for UMass. Colleges can share the same name, but not in the same city. i.e) UMass Amherst and UMass Boston. These also have pseudonyms (University of Massachusetts Amherst vs UMass Amherst).
A college/ university has one ore more residential halls which have one or more dorms. On a given campus, there are different residential areas that have have different dorm buildings which have different types of rooms. For example, at UMass, Kennedy building in Southwest has z-rooms, corner rooms, regular rooms all of which can be considered as single, double, triple, etc. for the amount of people sharing a room.
